From the Brooklyn Bridge we drove directly to Midtown to climb the Empire State Building. Since it was still late afternoon, the actual plan was to experience New York from above at dusk and night. We were able to discard this immediately after arrival due to the amount of visitors in the queue. One of the reasons for this was the very thorough security checks, which had already cost us a lot of time in the last few days. So far, I have only experienced such an "uplift" in the United States in New York.
The New York Pass included admission to the Empire State Building as well as the ride on the Skyride. The Skyride consists of several stations, with the highlight being a simulator ride to the sights of New York. Afterwards, the elevator took them to the viewing platform. In the meantime it was already shortly after 9 p.m. and night had fallen. But a big city looks simply magnificent in the dark with its thousands of lights. But see for yourself!
