For our summer holiday in 2024, we chose the Estonian capital Tallinn as our destination this time. The choice of hotel was quickly made, as the Hilton Group is represented in the city with the Hilton Tallinn Park. You can find out what amenities the hotel offers and how we liked the room in our hotel review.
Booking, arrival and check-in
As always, we booked our seven-night stay at the Hilton Tallinn Park directly via the Hilton app. This way, we are sure that as Diamond Status guests we will receive all the benefits and points for our overnight stays. We booked a King Guest Room. A few days before, I received a message via the app that the hotel had upgraded us to a King Executive Room. When we arrived at the hotel on Sunday afternoon at around 3pm, the app said that there were still a few suites available for our travel period, but the friendly young lady at reception didn't want to give us another upgrade. Too bad, but the King Executive Room at the Hilton Tallinn Park is not bad either.
Where is the Hilton Tallinn Park located?
The Hilton is a newly constructed building with modern facilities. There is also a casino in the same building. We are already familiar with this combination from the DoubleTree Wrolclaw. Tallinn International Airport is only about 3 kilometres away. The journey takes between 5 and 10 minutes by public transport or by Bolt taxi, depending on the traffic situation. The hotel offers an underground car park for guests arriving by car or hire car. This costs EUR 22 per day. Car parking spaces are available around the hotel, but are also subject to a charge.
As the name suggests, the Hilton Tallinn Park is located right next to Politsei Park. There is a playground and a skate park. Tallinn's Old Town is a good ten minutes' walk away.
How are the rooms (King Executive Room) at Hilton Tallinn Park?
We were upgraded from the normal King Guest Room to King Executive. These are located on the tenth and eleventh floors of the hotel. The Executive rooms are the same size as the normal rooms. All rooms at the Hilton Tallinn Park are modernly furnished and bright and friendly with lots of indirect lighting. Our room was equipped with a king-size bed, a sofa with light-coloured fabric upholstery, a desk, a 50-inch LCD TV, a fridge/minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine, a safe and two sets of bathrobes and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and I really appreciated the many power sockets in the room. The large window front provided a great view of Tallinn and the Baltic Sea.
In the bathroom there was a sink with plenty of shelf space, a large bathtub, a closed toilet and a walk-in shower with a beautiful rain shower head. The care products and the shower bath were provided by Crabtree and Evelyn, as is typical for Hilton hotels.
How is the breakfast at Hilton Tallinn Park?
Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant ‘The Able Butcher’. The seating area is beautifully designed, the tables are separated by discreet room dividers and plants. Despite the size of the room, the sound acoustics are very good and you don't have the feeling of sitting in a hall. Large window fronts provide a good view and make the room bright. There are many different seating options available both indoors and on the adjoining terrace. During our stay it was always very crowded, sometimes we even had to wait for a table or were seated at a kind of coffee table with armchairs in the entrance area, which was very unfavourable for eating with a child.
Breakfast was served daily from 7.00 am to 10.30 am, drinks and cold dishes were offered as a self-service buffet. Drinks included water and various juices as well as hot drinks from a vending machine. The food on offer included various types of bread, cakes, pastries and matching sweet and savoury spreads. There was also a selection of fruit, salads, muesli and yoghurt. The hot meals on offer included a typical English breakfast with beans, scrambled eggs and hash browns. In addition, a cook prepared fresh egg dishes such as omelettes, fried eggs and eggs Benedict every morning. However, the preparation took a long time on some days.
How is the Executive Lounge at Hilton Tallinn Park?
The lounge is located on the 11th floor, the top floor of the Hilton Tallinn Park. The room is spacious and modern. Subtle colours, stylish furnishings such as ample seating in the form of sofas, armchairs and tables in various sizes and soft lighting create a pleasant atmosphere. Large panoramic windows on one side of the room offer a breathtaking view over the city. From here you have a marvellous view of the green Politsei Park and the picturesque cityscape of Tallinn with its historic towers and modern buildings.
The Executive Lounge was open from 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. and access was via the activated room card. From 7 am to 12 noon, however, only hot drinks such as coffee specialities and tea were available. The fridge with cold soft drinks was only opened at 12 noon. Breakfast was not offered. Snacks were also only available from 12 noon. A happy hour was offered in the lounge from 5.30pm. During our stay, there was always a hot snack such as meatballs or crab sticks, a selection of salads, finger food such as wraps and various types of cheese. Beer, red and white wine, Prosecco and various spirits were available during the two-hour happy hour. At 7.30 pm on the dot, everything was closed and tidied up again before it was time to leave the lounge at 8 pm.
What does the Hilton Tallinn Park offer for relaxation?
The hotel has a spacious wellness area, which is pleasantly bright thanks to the glass front. In addition to a swimming pool, there is a whirlpool, a steam bath and a 90°C sauna. There are plenty of seating and lounging options by the pool. There is also a separate relaxation area with loungers for relaxing after a sauna session. Showers, ice for after the sauna and cold drinking water are also available.
In addition to the spa area, there is also a fitness centre that is available to hotel guests around the clock.

Summary
Hilton has a relatively new hotel in the beautiful city of Tallinn. Not directly in the old town, but within walking distance and in a quiet neighbourhood next to a park, the location is acceptable. The decor, furnishings and style are modern and tasteful. The rooms are a pleasant size and well equipped. The offer in the lounge was appropriate for happy hour. It was a little strange that the lounge opened at 7am but there were no soft drinks or water until midday.
