Hilton Tallinn Park

Hilton Tallinn Park 1

For our summer vacation 2024, we have chosen the Estonian capital Tallinn as our destination this time. The choice of hotel was quickly made, as the Hilton Group is represented in the city with the Hilton Tallinn Park. You can find out what amenities the hotel offers and how we liked the room in our hotel review.

Booking, arrival and check-in

As always, we booked our seven-day stay at Hilton Tallinn Park directly via the Hilton app. This way we are sure that as Diamond Status guests we also receive all the benefits and points for the overnight stays. We booked a King Guest Room. A few days before, I received a message via the app that the hotel had upgraded us to a King Executive Room. When we arrived at the hotel around 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, there were still some suites available for our travel period, according to the app, but the friendly young lady at the reception didn't want to give us another upgrade. It's a shame, but the King Executive Room at Hilton Tallinn Park isn't bad either.

Where is Hilton Tallinn Park located?

The Hilton is a newly constructed building with correspondingly modern facilities. There is also a casino in the same building. We already know this combination from the DoubleTree Wrolclaw. Tallinn International Airport is only about 3 km away. Both by public transport and a Bolt taxi, the journey takes between 5 and 10 minutes, depending on traffic. For guests arriving with their own car or a rental car, the hotel offers underground parking. This costs EUR 22 per day. Parking is available around the hotel, but is also subject to a fee.

The Hilton Tallinn Park, as the name suggests, is located directly on Politsei Park. There is a playground and a skate park there. Tallinn's Old Town can be reached on foot in just over ten minutes.

What are the rooms (King Executive Room) like at Hilton Tallinn Park?

We were upgraded from the normal King Guest-Room to King Executive. These are located on the tenth and eleventh floors of the hotel. The Executive Rooms are the same size as the normal rooms. All rooms at Hilton Tallinn Park are modernly furnished and bright and friendly thanks to plenty of indirect lighting. Our room was furnished with a king-size bed, a sofa with light fabric upholstery, a desk, a 50-inch LCD TV, a fridge/minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine, a safe and two sets of bathrobes and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and I really appreciated the many power outlets in the room. Through the large window front you had a great view of Tallinn and the Baltic Sea.

In the bathroom, there was a sink with plenty of counter space, a large bathtub, an enclosed toilet and a walk-in shower with a nice rain shower head. The toiletries and shower room were provided by the company Crabtree and Evelyn, as is typical for Hilton hotels.

How is the breakfast at Hilton Tallinn Park?

Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant "The Able Butcher". The seating area is beautifully designed, the tables are separated by discreet room dividers and plants. Despite the size of the room, the sound acoustics are very good and you don't have the feeling of sitting in a hall. Large window fronts provide a good view and make the room bright. Both indoors and on the adjacent terrace, there are many different seating options available. During our stay it was always very crowded, sometimes we even had to wait for a table or were seated at a kind of coffee table with armchairs in the entrance area, which was very unfavorable for eating with a child.

Breakfast was served daily from 7:00 to 10:30, drinks and cold dishes were offered as a self-service buffet. The drinks included water and various juices as well as hot drinks from a vending machine. The menu included various types of bread, cakes, pastries and matching sweet and savoury spreads. There was also a selection of fruit, salads, muesli and yoghurt. The hot dishes included the typical English breakfast with beans, scrambled eggs and potato rösti. In addition, a cook prepared fresh egg dishes such as omelette, fried egg and also eggs Benedict every morning. However, the preparation took a very long time on some days.

What is the Executive Lounge like at Hilton Tallinn Park?

The lounge is located on the 11th floor, the top floor of Hilton Tallinn Park. The space is spacious and modernly furnished. Subtle colours, stylish furniture such as sufficient seating in the form of sofas, armchairs, but also tables in various sizes and soft lighting create a pleasant atmosphere. Large panoramic windows on one side of the room offer stunning views over the city. From here you have a wonderful view of the green Politsei Park and the picturesque cityscape of Tallinn with its historic towers and modern buildings.

The Executive Lounge was open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and access was via the activated room card. From 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., however, there were only hot drinks such as coffee specialties and tea. It was not until 12 o'clock that the refrigerator with cold soft drinks was opened. A breakfast offer was not offered. Snacks were also only available from 12 noon. From 5:30 p.m., a happy hour was offered in the lounge. During our stay, there was always a warm snack such as meatballs or crab sticks, a selection of salads, finger food such as wraps and various cheeses. Drinks during the two-hour happy hour included beer, red and white wine, prosecco and various spirits. Punctually at 7.30 p.m. everything was closed or cleaned up again before it was time to leave the lounge at 8 p.m.

What does Hilton Tallinn Park offer for recreation?

The hotel has a spacious wellness area, which is pleasantly bright due to the glass front. In addition to a swimming pool, there is a whirlpool, a steam bath and a 90°C sauna. There are plenty of seating and lounging options by the pool. There is also a separate relaxation area with loungers for relaxing after a sauna session. Showers, ice for after the sauna and cold drinking water are also offered.

In addition to the spa area, there is also a fitness center that is available to hotel guests around the clock.

Summary

Hilton is represented with a relatively new house in the beautiful city of Tallinn. Not directly in the old town, but within walking distance and quiet surroundings by a park, the location is acceptable. Furnishings, furnishings and style are modern and tasteful. The rooms are a pleasant size and are well equipped. The offer in the lounge was adequate for happy hour. It was a bit strange that the lounge opened at 7 a.m., but there were no soft drinks or water until noon.
