The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel is conveniently located right next to Copenhagen International Airport. We spent a long weekend in the 5-star hotel and would like to give you an impression in this short hotel review.
Booking, arrival and check-in
From Terminal 3 of Copenhagen Airport, we could get directly to the lobby in just three minutes via the covered pedestrian bridge. We had reserved a room with a king-size bed via the Hilton website from the outset. The prices are, as usual in Scandinavia, quite high. However, in our opinion, the Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel offered better value for money than a hotel in downtown Copenhagen. The frequent metro to the city centre costs 36 kroner and runs approximately every 15 minutes.

The check-in was very friendly and fast. As a HHonors Gold member, we upgraded a room to a Deluxe Room on the 10th floor. Unfortunately, an executive room with access to the lounge would only have been possible for an extra charge. Thanks to the HHonors MyWay Benefits, we received two vouchers for breakfast at the Horizon All Day Restaurant for each day.
Update (August 20, 2017): The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel left the Hilton chain on April 1, 2017 and is now a Clarion Hotel.
What are the deluxe rooms like at Hilton Copenhagen Airport?
We moved into a corner room in the south wing of the tenth floor. The room is pleasantly large and offers a work corner with desk, a couch and a king-size bed. There is also a minibar and a wardrobe. However, this is not very big and you can only hang things in it. The bathroom has a bathtub and a walk-in shower. The Wi-Fi is fast and free for HHonors Gold members. A great feature is also the docking station from Bose, which unfortunately can only be used for the iPhone generation up to 4s. Here, the management should slowly improve or provide an AUX cable.

All rooms of the hotel are equipped with floor-to-ceiling soundproof windows. From our room in the south wing we had a magnificent view of the airport. For all those who are afraid of aircraft noise, it should be said that we only heard a plane taking off when it was very quiet in the room. But as a #avgeeks, that didn't really bother us.

How is the breakfast at Hilton Copenhagen Airport?
Also in the basement is the Horizon All Day Restaurant, where breakfast is served. We were surprised by the wide variety of breads, salads and cereals. Egg dishes or pancakes are always freshly prepared in front of the guests in an open kitchen. If you like to eat something "extraordinary" for breakfast like us, you can also order it. So on the last morning of our stay, I had eggs brought to me by Benedikt. Drinks are ordered and served by the staff at the table. We also found the smoothies very tasty.

Summary
The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel is conveniently located directly at Copenhagen International Airport. The room is pleasantly large and offers a study corner with a desk, a sofa and a king-size bed. The Wi-Fi is fast and free for HHonors Gold members. The service staff was always friendly and prompt. We only have to deduct points for the spa and the pool. This is operated by an external company and was closed during opening hours despite our visit.
