For my flight to Kraków I had to go to Departure Gate A40 at the end of Terminal 1. Since I only had 35 minutes to change planes after my arrival from Leipzig and a detour to the Lufthansa Senator Lounge wasn't worth it, I tried the new Lufthansa Panorama Lounge in Frankfurt.
Where is the Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt located?
The Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt is located in Terminal 1 at Gates A. It is approximately a 10-minute walk from the security checkpoint in area A. Just follow the signs to the Business Lounge or Gate A26 to A42. The lounge entrance is very unobtrusive and is located directly opposite Gate A26. There is one on the floor above the Panorama Loungeanother Lufthansa Business Class Lounge.
Who has access to the Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt?
Access to the Lufthansa Panorama Lounge is possible for Lufthansa, Star Alliance Business and First Class passengers who have a valid boarding pass for a flight from Frankfurt for the same day. Frequent flyers of the Miles and More program with Frequent Traveller, Senator and HON Circle status as well as passengers who have Star Alliance Gold status and of course have a boarding pass for a Star Alliance flight departing from Frankfurt on the same day also have access. However, Lufthansa currently only welcomes its guests to the Panorama Lounge on weekdays.
How is the Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt equipped?
The Lufthansa Panorama Lounge was designed as a VIP lounge and is therefore significantly more comfortable than the usual Lufthansa Business Class lounges. After the reception, the lounge splits into two seating areas. On the right is a large lounge with several seating areas and a fantastic view of the apron. The main buffet is also located on this side of the lounge.
To the left of the entrance area is part of the lounge, which is divided into a series of smaller rooms that look almost like living rooms and give guests the opportunity to retreat. Each room is individually furnished and usually offers a great view of the apron.
If you stay longer in the Panorama Lounge, you can also use one of the loungers in the relaxation room to sleep or snooze. The lounge also has its own toilets and showers, which are more reminiscent of toilets in a grand hotel than in a Lufthansa lounge.
What is there to eat and drink in the Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt?
Since my visit was in the morning, breakfast was still served. The main buffet had sandwiches, a variety of yoghurts, scrambled eggs, and baked goods. The range of drinks hardly differed from that in the other Lufthansa lounges. There was a coffee machine, various soft drinks, wine, champagne, beer and various spirits.
In addition to the main buffet, there were two smaller buffets in the left seating area. At first glance, the offer was the same here. Only warm meals were not offered here.

Summary
With the Panorama Lounge, Lufthansa has significantly improved the range of lounges in Frankfurt. While business lounges are always bursting at the seams at peak times, hopefully this lounge will bring improvements. The spatial arrangement of the lounge is clearly successful. The various large and furnished rooms create an atmosphere almost like being at home in the living room.
