Before my early morning flight to San Francisco via Copenhagen, I visited the SAS Gold Lounge Stockholm. This is somewhat hidden on the fourth floor of Terminal 5. In the Lounge Review you can find out more about the facilities and the range of food and drinks.
Where is the SAS Gold Lounge Stockholm located?
The SAS Gold Lounge is tucked away in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Airport. Only a small sign on the ceiling, opposite the SAS service counter, indicates where the lounge is located. Both the Gold Lounge and the regular lounge for Business Class guests are located on the fourth floor of the airport. To get there, passengers must either take the stairs or the elevator.
Who has access to SAS Gold Lounge Stockholm?
Only Star Alliance Gold status holders have access to the SAS Gold Lounge, be it from SAS Eurobonus or other Star Alliance airlines. You must also be able to show a ticket for a flight with SAS or a Star Alliance partner on the same day. The same regulations apply to the guest, who can be invited to the lounge free of charge.
How is the SAS Gold Lounge Stockholm equipped?
The lounge made a good and bright impression at first glance. Since it extends over the entire fourth floor, there are large window fronts on two sides with a view of the runway.
The lounge also offers a relatively large number of different seating options. With our early departure on Saturday morning, the lounge was pleasantly empty, so I was able to take some pictures.
In addition to the high, round or square tables in the dining area, there are also smaller tables for working. There is also a computer corner with a printer and a number of telephone booths. By the way, the WiFi is unlimited and free of charge. A major shortcoming of the SAS Gold Lounge, however, is that there are only three toilets per gender and only one shower stall. So there can be long queues here.
What is there to eat and drink at SAS Gold Lounge Stockholm?
During our stay only breakfast was served. At the buffet there was a choice between cold plates with cold cuts and cheese, hard-boiled eggs, yoghurt with blackberries and cornflakes, toast and other bread products.
We left the fridge with beer locked at this time of day and preferred to use the fully automatic coffee machine. In addition, ice-cold orange juice, soft drinks and water rounded off the offer.

Summary
My conclusion from the SAS Gold Lounge Stockholm is quite positive. The lounge is inviting and bright thanks to the large window fronts on both sides. In my opinion, there is still room for improvement when it comes to the selection of dishes. The biggest point of criticism, however, is the small number of toilets and showers.
