Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge

Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge

After an eventful holiday in beautiful Estonia, it was unfortunately already time for the return flight. Tallinn Airport may be very small, but the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge is still a frequent flyer lounge.

Where is Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge located?

Tallinn Airport is very manageable. Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge is therefore easy to find. When you come out of duty free, you just go straight ahead. After a few meters you will find the stairs or elevator to the lounge on the 2nd floor of the passenger terminal on the left side. The lounge is open daily open from 04:30 to 22:00.

What is the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge equipped for?

Before I go into more detail about the equipment of the LHV Lounge at Tallinn Airport, perhaps right at the beginning: I have never been in such a great and generously equipped contract lounge. For a small airport like Tallinn, the lounge is just huge and modern. I didn't expect that.

Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge features a contrast between light upholstered furniture and dark wood panelling on the walls. A lot of daylight fell into the lounge through the large window front and from the corresponding seating you had a great view of the apron. I particularly liked the clearly structured design with Nordic accents and small highlights, such as lamps in the shape of birds. There were also sufficient sockets, some of which also had a USB-A port.

Seen from the reception, there was a small separate area on the left, where individual seating areas could be separated with curtains. In addition to a TV, there was also a separate drinks buffet with soft drinks and small snacks. In this part of the lounge were also the showers and toilets. The toilets are set up for women and men together.

In the remaining part of the lounge, various seating options such as sofas, armchairs or simple chairs were available. The seating areas were loosened up by half-height privacy walls with ferns and small conifers. There was a small play area for children.

Other features of the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge were a meeting room, a small work cabin for undisturbed phone calls, two wall bars for stretching during the trip and, as a highlight, an outdoor terrace with seating.

What is there to eat and drink in the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge?

During our stay on Sunday morning, there was a rich breakfast buffet in the LHV Lounge of Tallinn Airport. There was a choice of fresh salads such as potato salad and Italian pasta salad. There were also grilled vegetables and olives. Another buffet offered various prepared snacks. These included a salad with herring, a polar bread sandwich with chicken and Parmesan, a mini croissant with mozzarella and tomato, and a wholemeal bread with egg salad and fish. Snacks such as crackers or sweets were offered at two other small buffets.

The range of drinks is also very extensive. In addition to the well-known soft drinks in bottles, there was a dispensing system for juice and water. In addition, a fully automatic coffee machine and various syrups for coffee were available. Alcoholic beverages included local draught beer, red and white wine, local vodka, gin, cognac and Vanna Tallinn, a strong Estonian liqueur. Unfortunately, there was no water in sealable bottles, which I always like to take with me on the flight.

Summary

As I wrote in my review, I was very surprised by the Tallinn Airport LHV Lounge. Especially the furnishings, the different seating areas, the great modern design and the outdoor terrace have left a great impression. There is some potential for improvement in the range of food and drinks. Although we were in the lounge for breakfast, I would have liked a selection of hot food. The LHV Lounge is definitely worth a visit.
