Air Canada operates a total of three airport lounges at Toronto-Pearson Airport (YYZ) - one each for international destinations, one for domestic destinations and one for flights to the USA. On our way to Seattle we visited the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto Transborder. You can find out how we spent the time there and what the lounge had to offer in the review.
Where is the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto Transborder located?
After our arrival with Air Canada from Munich, we completed the entry into the USA and after customs control we were able to take the escalator on the right down to the departure area. Arrived at the bottom, we searched in vain for a sign to the lounge. Only by asking we found the elevator and thus the entrance. We took the elevator to the fourth floor. There we arrived directly at the reception of the Air Canada Maple Lounge.
Who has access to the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto Transborder?
Access requirements for Air Canada Maple Leaf lounges are the same as for all other Star Alliances lounges. Thus, Air Canada Business Class passengers flying on the same day have access to the lounge. Star Alliance Gold members flying on a Star Alliance airline on the same day also have access to the Maple Leaf Lounge and may bring a guest.
How is the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto Transborder equipped?
The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at Toronto Airport is a good size. Directly after the reception, the lounge extends in an arc to the left and right. On the left is a smaller seating area with a drinks buffet and the business center. To the right is the much larger seating area with several seating groups. There are gray leather seats at the window front, which are put together in groups of four, each with a table. A socket is available almost everywhere. Between the buffet and the window is a slightly raised seating area with comfortable armchairs in shades of red. There is also a TV room and a games room. However, only one TV was running during our stay.
What is there to eat and drink at the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto Transborder?
Let's start with the easy-to-understand part: dining at the Air Canada Maple Leaf Transborder Lounge at Toronto Airport. When we visited, they offered two different green salads with carrots and pickles, pea soup, and nachos with salsa. Since we had eaten well on the business class flight from Munich to Toronto, we only had some of the nachos.
The range of drinks was a bit more extensive. For example, at a tap I had the choice of four different types of beer, e.g. Guinness or Coors. In addition, there were various soft drinks in cans such as ginger ale or cola in a large fridge. If you want, you can also get a coffee machine.
After helping ourselves extensively with the drinks, we left the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at the F-Gates at Toronto Airport. It was time for our business class onward flight to Seattle.

Summary
What we particularly liked about the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Toronto Transborder was the variety of seating options. It is a pity that the range of dishes was so clear. Unfortunately, this is what you are used to from lounges in North America. The large selection of drinks was positive.
