La Valette Club Lounge Malta

La Valette Club Lounge Malta

After a relaxing holiday over the turn of the year 2019/20, we visited the La Valette Club Lounge Malta before our return flight to Leipzig with Lufthansa. You can read about what to expect in the contract lounge and what the food and beverage offerings are like in our lounge review.

Where is La Valette Club Lounge Malta located?

Immediately after checking in at the Lufthansa First Class counter, we received an invitation card for the lounge. With the invitation and our hand luggage, we then went through the security check, where there is also a fast lane for status guests. The large duty-free area follows immediately after the check. After passing through this area, the entrance/elevator to La Valette Club Lounge Malta was on the left after the Duty Free ticket area. The lounge itself is then on the third floor.

Who has access to La Valette Club Lounge Malta?

You get access to La Valette Club Lounge when departing Malta as a Business Class passenger if you have a higher frequent flyer status e.g. B. Star Alliance Gold, with an airline or if you have a Priority Pass. It is also possible to purchase access for 35 EUR/adult. You can find more information about the current admission prices on the official website website.

How is the La Valette Club Lounge Malta equipped?

After exiting the elevator on the third floor, we followed the dark wood paneled corridor to reception. Here we handed in our invitation cards and were warmly welcomed in the lounge.

The lounge was pleasantly empty during our short stay. There were different seating areas. Most of the seats were on the large window front with a view of the apron. Here there were seating groups with dark leather sofas and chairs with light upholstery. In the middle of the lounge there was more seating on two curved benches. Sufficient sockets were also installed here. Just off the front desk was a workspace with several Apple iMacs and two rows of swivel chairs. In addition, there were still some relaxation loungers available.

Our personal highlight of the La Valette Club Lounge at Malta Airport was the covered outdoor terrace. There was also plenty of seating with tables and chairs. We also had a very nice view of the apron.

Additional amenities in the lounge include free Wi-Fi, departure announcements, newspapers and magazines. A separate, more private room is available for visitors with High Attitude membership, a paid VIP program at Malta Airport.

What is there to eat and drink at La Valette Club Lounge Malta?

For a contract lounge, the range of food at La Valette Club Lounge Malta was surprisingly good. So there was a choice of four hot meals during our late afternoon stay. Among them were chicken satay skewers and pies, bean curd wraps. In addition, there was a selection of vegetables, local sausage and cheese and various baked goods.

The selection of drinks was also good. The fridges were stocked with various soft drinks, beer and water in small plastic bottles. The range of spirits was also very good.
