The Hilton Berlin is the largest five-star hotel in the capital and has an interesting history. Shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, the GDR hotel chain Interhotel began construction, and in November 1990 it was opened as the Domhotel. Just one year later, Hilton bought the hotel. So we were curious to see what luxury would await us at the Hilton Berlin.
Wir hatten Tickets für die Frequent Traveler University (FTU) gewonnen, die vom 10. bis 12. Juni 2016 in Berlin stattgefunden hat. Bei der FTU gab es im Rahmen von Vorträgen interessante Einblicke in verschiedene Kundenbindungsprogramme von Hotels & Fluggesellschaften. Veranstaltungsort war das Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade. Da lag es nahe, auch ein Zimmer für zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel zu buchen.
Berlin Brandenburg Airport "Willy Brandt", BER for short, has been under construction since September 5th, 2006 on the southern city limits of Berlin in the Brandenburg town of Schönefeld. Whether and when it will ever open is still questionable at this point in time. We take the opportunity for a unique tour of the airport grounds.
