Our summer vacation was just around the corner and we were still looking for a suitable destination. Since we were already in Greece over Pentecost, we spoke out against the Mediterranean. For a long time we flirted with the Baltic States and finally decided on Estonia. After careful consideration, we decided to travel to Tallinn with the low-cost airline airBaltic. In our travel report you will learn everything about the cabin, the seating comfort and the equipment of the airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300. This review is ideal for anyone planning a trip with airBaltic and looking for detailed information.

How did we book our flight?

We booked through the official website of airbaltic. There you can choose between five different tariffs: GREEN, GREEN plus, CLASSIC, BUSINESS light and BUSINESS. All fares include 8 kg of hand luggage. Checked baggage and seat reservations are only included from GREEN plus.

We chose the cheapest with GREEN and booked an additional piece of checked luggage for 19.99 EUR. We took a risk with the seats and saved the 11.99 EUR/seat and kept our fingers crossed that the seats randomly assigned at check-in would be next to each other. Fortunately, that was the case.

What is the cabin and seat like in airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300?

The airBaltic Airbus A220-300 offers a modern, bright and spacious cabin. I was amazed at the generous amount of space. The seating arrangement is 2-3, i.e. two seats on the left and three seats on the right (in the direction of flight). In total, the Airbus A220-300 of airBaltic Economy Class has 145 economy seats in 26 rows. With large windows and pleasant LED lighting, the cabin creates a bright and friendly atmosphere that significantly enhances the travel experience.

The seats in airBaltic Economy Class in the Airbus A220-300 are ergonomically designed and offer generous legroom of up to 81 cm. In addition, they are optimally shaped to leave room for the knees. The seats are upholstered in high-quality materials and have adjustable headrests for extra comfort. Each seat is also equipped with two small mesh pockets, for example for bottles or a mobile phone, a sturdy folding table and a shelf for magazines and the on-board magazine.

Was gibt es in der airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300 zu essen & trinken?

In airBaltic Economy Class, food and drinks are subject to a fee. The various offers are listed in the on-board magazine and are reasonably priced. For example, a wrap with salmon, spinach and cream cheese costs 6.99 euros, mineral water 2.99 euros and coffee 4.99 euros. Food and drinks can also be pre-ordered online when booking your flight.

What is the in-flight entertainment like in airBaltic Economy Class Airbus A220-300?

For an airline that I have previously classified as a low-cost airline, the in-flight entertainment program is very good. For each row there is a small ceiling monitor on which the safety videos and during the flight the airshow with flight map are shown. Wi-Fi was not offered on our plane. The airBaltic website (https://www.airbaltic.com/) I have not found any information as to whether the fleet is generally equipped with WLAN.

Summary

The Economy Class in airBaltic's Airbus A220-300 impresses with its modern cabin and high seating comfort. For a low-cost airline, airBaltic offers excellent value for money. For reasons of comparability with other flights, with a free offer, I rated service, food and drinks correspondingly lower.
