The disadvantage of our cheap flight to Hanoi (approx. 165 EUR) was that this tariff was only valid from the Hungarian capital Budapest.
For the positioning flight to Budapest we booked Lufthansa flight LH 1338 from Frankfurt. Boarding was carried out today at Gate A02 from 12:20 p.m. and we then took the bus to the parking position where the A319-100 (D-AIBD) with the baptismal name “Pirmasens” was already waiting for us.
The machine was booked very well. At check-in we were not able to change our seats for a reason I don't know. So we were automatically assigned places 5B and 6B. A seat in the middle! I was lucky though, because after boarding was complete, seat 6A was empty, so I ended up getting a seat by the window.
Fifteen minutes after takeoff from the West runway, a small snack consisting of a pasta salad with mini chicken patties and grissini was served. There was also coffee and still water. The taste of the salad was rather underground and the breadsticks were incredibly dry.
At 2:07 p.m. sharp, the co-pilot touched down the Airbus A319 in Budapest. After a short taxing we arrived at the gate. We then went to the bus stationHotel Ibis Aero.
