Once you have a frequent flyer status, you want to defend it every year. I have had Star Alliance Gold status with Greek airline Aegean Airlines for almost five years. Since we hardly took any air travel due to the birth of our son in January this year, a mileage run was necessary to extend the status.
On July 22, 2016 at 6:10 a.m., the Singapore Airlines Airbus A350-900 landed in the North Rhine-Westphalia state capital for the first time and was traditionally greeted with a water fountain. From now on, the renowned five-star airline will connect Düsseldorf Airport non-stop three times a week with its hub in Singapore. I was very lucky to be on the inaugural Singapore Airlines Business Class flight on the Airbus A350-900 from Düsseldorf.
Bei unserem online Check-in für den Rückflug mit British Airways nach Oslo war ich kurz von der Sitzanordnung verwirrt. Zwei Sitze, ein einzelner Sitz und dann wieder zwei Sitze. Das sieht doch nach einer Business Class á la Swiss aus?! Eine "richtige" Business Class auf einem Europaflug? Ich habe wohl das Glück, die British Airways long haul Business Class in der Airbus A321 fliegen zu dürfen.
It's back to Oslo! In American Airlines Business Class in the Boeing 777-300ER we fly first to London Heathrow. The JFK Airport Train takes us from Jamaica Station to Terminal 8. American Airlines, Air Berlin and LATAM also fly from here.
