After checking out at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur, we took the LRT and KLIA Express to the international airport. The journey took an hour in total, with a short wait at KL Sentral. We flew to Singapore with an airline that was new to me - Jetstar Asia Economy Class.
Langkawi airport is a typical small tourist airport. The distances are short and the queues, at least on this Saturday, are not long either. We took the Malaysia Airlines Economy Class Boeing 737-800 to Kuala Lumpur.
The hotel's own shuttle bus took us from the Grand Mercure Roxy to Terminal 1 of the Singapore Changi International Airport without any traffic jams or delays. From there we took an AirAsia Economy Class Airbus A320-200 to Langkawi.
The plan was for us to land in Zurich at 4:30 p.m. from Berlin. Because of the strong hurricane Niklas, we only arrived three hours later. From Gate A81 we walked to the SWISS Senator Lounge before taking the SWISS Economy Class Airbus A340-300 to Singapore.
As a summary of my first first class flight with Emirates from Bangkok to Hong Kong, I had written that I really wanted to test the first class experience on a longer route. The Turkish Airlines Boeing 777-300ER Comfort Class was one of the first premium economy on the airline market. Thanks to an upgrade, we were able to test the premium cabin and service on the short flight from Dubai to Istanbul.
